I'M BACK!!!...again LOL

I'M BACKKKK! LOL. I know I know, I slacked off pretty badly the last few months. Working 3rd shift really takes a toll on pretty much everything you do. I was spending my nights working and my days sleeping. Any extra time I had was spent with my bf and fur babies so blogging was sort of out of the question for awhile but I am no longer working at the moment so I have lots of time! I have had more time to experiment with my cooking and baking, read more books, test new products, and maybe more interesting things to come as the summer goes on. Knowing my life though, probably not LOL. But hopefully soon I will have some new recipes, book reviews, and product reviews.
That's the plan! I am also planning more posts for my beauty blog also. (Byootuhfuhl Life)

I had also mentioned in previous posts that my computer had stopped working and that is also back up and running again. Not very well but it works! So I am hoping to have some decent pictures however I am still using an older camera and no longer have my photo editing software so they won't be anything spectacular LOL. Any picture is better than no picture right? ;)

Easy Homemade Cookies on a Budget

So I loveeee to bake and cook but I'm not always the best at it LOL. So I usually find a recipe and follow it the first time and then the second time around I will make my little tweaks, additions and subtractions. I found this recipe on bettycrocker.com(click for original recipe) for Bisquik Chocolate Chip cookies! It has very little ingredients and is so easy to make. The best part is it's a basic cookie recipe and you can add any ingredients you want to make different kinds of cookies. I have made chocolate peanut butter chip, reeses pieces, chocolate walnut, and coconut chocolate chip. The main ingredients you will need are biquick mix, light brown sugar, pure vanilla extract, egg, butter, and whatever you decide to mix in. Exact ingredient list and directions below.

1/2 cup softened butter(full stick)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups packed Bisquick mix
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips(or whatever you decide to put in, when doing 2 ingredients, 1/2 cup each. I used 1/2 c choco chips and 1/2 c pb chips)

Step 1- Before you start mixing ingredients, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2- Mix together softened butter and light brown sugar together until it makes a creamy mixture. Then add the vanilla and egg and continue to mix until blended.

Step 3- Mix in the bisquick mix first until blended and then add your chocolate chips and stir.

Step 4- Drop teaspoons of mix onto ungreased cookie sheet(I used a pretty large sheet and fit 12) and bake for about 10 minutes. For larger sized cookies you can add 2 or 3 minutes.

Step 5- Transfer cookies onto something to cool(I used another cookie sheet) and repeat step 4 until mix is gone. Makes about 24-30 cookies depending on size.

Part 2!

Well, I recently signed up for a few sites that will require me to write reviews on their products and in return I get to try them free! I am pretty excited about it because I already have quite a few headed my way;) I wanted to keep my beauty blog about beauty though so I decided to start a new one that is connected but separate so I don't flood my beauty blog with products that aren't   beauty related. On this one I will write reviews, post recipes I've tried, talk about how to get free products, and pretty much anything I feel like blogging about that isn't about beauty products. I may just decide to tell you about my day occasionally LOL who knows! If you have any suggestions for me or things you want to see, feel free to email me at beautybloggin724@gmail.com. I am always open to suggestions on how to make things better or more interesting so please don't be shy;)
