Easy Homemade Cookies on a Budget

So I loveeee to bake and cook but I'm not always the best at it LOL. So I usually find a recipe and follow it the first time and then the second time around I will make my little tweaks, additions and subtractions. I found this recipe on bettycrocker.com(click for original recipe) for Bisquik Chocolate Chip cookies! It has very little ingredients and is so easy to make. The best part is it's a basic cookie recipe and you can add any ingredients you want to make different kinds of cookies. I have made chocolate peanut butter chip, reeses pieces, chocolate walnut, and coconut chocolate chip. The main ingredients you will need are biquick mix, light brown sugar, pure vanilla extract, egg, butter, and whatever you decide to mix in. Exact ingredient list and directions below.

1/2 cup softened butter(full stick)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups packed Bisquick mix
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips(or whatever you decide to put in, when doing 2 ingredients, 1/2 cup each. I used 1/2 c choco chips and 1/2 c pb chips)

Step 1- Before you start mixing ingredients, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2- Mix together softened butter and light brown sugar together until it makes a creamy mixture. Then add the vanilla and egg and continue to mix until blended.

Step 3- Mix in the bisquick mix first until blended and then add your chocolate chips and stir.

Step 4- Drop teaspoons of mix onto ungreased cookie sheet(I used a pretty large sheet and fit 12) and bake for about 10 minutes. For larger sized cookies you can add 2 or 3 minutes.

Step 5- Transfer cookies onto something to cool(I used another cookie sheet) and repeat step 4 until mix is gone. Makes about 24-30 cookies depending on size.
